What is transcreation?

Transcreation is the art of creatively adapting content from one language to another while preserving its intent, tone, style, and emotional impact. Unlike direct translation, which focuses on accuracy of words, transcreation reshapes the message so it resonates culturally and emotionally with the target audience.

What is interpretation?

Interpretation is the real-time conversion of spoken language from one language to another. As an interpreter, I help bridge communication gaps between people who speak different languages—facilitating clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate understanding.

I have worked as an English-Spanish transcreator supporting the farming industry in Nova Scotia by translating and adapting posters and communications for Spanish-speaking workers, ensuring the messaging is clear and culturally relevant. Through ongoing collaboration with clients, I’ve helped strengthen relationships and improve communication.

Additionally, I’ve actively participated in local meetings on foreign workers’ rights, immersing myself in this important area and continuing to provide assistance to the community.

This is what my clients have said:

Your ability to communicate the rationale behind your decisions throughout the transcreation process gave me full confidence in the final product. I was very satisfied with your work and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your services to other organizations looking for expert, thoughtful, and efficient collaboration.

It was a pleasure to work with Sebastián! He was very professional in his email communications by explaining the format of the translation and asking for an expected timeframe. I appreciate his full translation of a technical document and respect that he asked questions for clarification on the meaning of technical text when needed.
