Sebastian Sanchez, a lifelong creative originally from Bogotá, Colombia, has spent over three decades writing and performing songs rooted in his lived experiences and Colombian musical traditions. After 15 years in Montreal, he has been based in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, since 2021, crafting a vibrant fusion of emotional funk, rock, and blues with the rhythmic soul of cumbia, vallenato, and reggae. Influenced by artists such as Carlos Vives, Bacilos, Diamante Eléctrico, and Coldplay, his music is both grounded and exploratory—made for movement, yet rich with themes of migration, memory, and resilience. Whether playing solo or with collaborators, Sebastian’s performances invite listeners to dance, release, and connect, creating spaces where rhythm and emotion meet.
